I... read more asked the driver to take me to the closest hotel. I was warmly greeted by the staff (who speak excellent English) and shown to my room. The room is HUGE and beautiful. There was an outdoor deck and the bathroom was to die for. The shower could fit up to 8 people! The water (unlike most showers I had in Tanzania) was hot. The grounds are expertly groomed with lots of flowers and birds. There's a large pool and gym. I had a wonderful massage by Glory the masseuse. She gave me one of the best massages I've ever had. I had a delightful dinner in the restaurant and slept comfortably on the king bed in my nice cool room. I didn't hear any airplane or car noise. Breakfast was to die for and they took me back to the airport (this time I have the right date). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Awesome pool and grounds if you have enough time to enjoy them. My stay was quick but I would have loved to stay one more night to enjoy the pool. The whole place (pool) included is very clean. I own a travel agency and therefore am very picky about hotels because I'm usually reviewing them to see if I would place my clients in them.. 100% yes on Planet Lodge.

They also cleaned my boots for no cost. I would definitely recommend staying at the Planet Lodge for anyone passing through this area.
