As we passed through reception, my jaw dropped and I said, “Oh!” The grounds are immaculately kept, and serenely restful. After a short stroll on the well lit walkway, we entered our room and I said “Oh!”again. Our bed was large and comfortable; the bathroom had a large walk-in shower with very hot water, as well as a tub if you prefer. The air conditioning cooled the room comfortably. The room is thoughtfully stocked with anything you could need, including shower slippers and robes, and bottled water in both the bedroom and the bathroom.

The staff is very friendly and attentive, which is common in Tanzania, but the amenities set the Airport Planet Lodge apart. Definitely worth staying here.

The food is homely, freshly made prepared with local fresh ingredients, is delicious.
The rooms are tastefully decorated with modern amenities but with African esthetic touch. There are shady trees and the hotel ground is huge, the pool is good too- ideal for children to play around. It’s quiet and laidback. So many different birds visit regularly. They thrive in this garden full of fruit trees and the air in the garden smells of sweet nectar.
Suggestion- the online payment system needs to be improved, ACs need to be serviced and just as suggestion, the hotel management may plant more colourful flowers like roses and calendulas etc as the soil and climate is ideal. The manager Mr Abuu, and staffs Yohana and Tegemea are particularly very helpful, kind.

Beds were very comfortable and clean.

Only feedback would be that for an airport hotel, more flexible checkout times would be nice! $20 per hour extra to stay in your room.

I... read more stayed here prior to and after a Kilimanjaro hike. Both rooms that I stayed in were well appointed and comfortable. The restaurant for all 3 meal periods was great! Good quality and service, by Usnah, David and Kelvin! It was nice to relax by the pool and also the lounge area close to the bar. I took advantage of the laundry service after my hike to get nice clean and fresh clothes to take home. Front desk staff, Eva and Julian, were very accommodating. The transport from/to the airport was much appreciated and it was only 10-15 minutes to the lodge. I slept very well on both stays... Cannot recommend this lodge enough!

Cleanliness is top-notch, with well-maintained rooms and a tidy environment. Security is also excellent, allowing guests to feel safe throughout their stay.

The food is another highlight – delicious, varied, and of high quality, making the stay even more enjoyable.

The only downside is the unstable internet. If you need a reliable connection for work or communication, this might be a bit inconvenient.

Overall, Airport Planet Lodge is an excellent option for both short and long stays, offering comfort, safety, and great service.

Food was very good and they even accommodated dietary restrictions as well as had an early breakfast before our flight. They have a shuttle to the airport.
