Post Kilimanjaro Room - After summiting Kilimanjaro, I stayed at the Airport Planet Lodge for one night before flying out the next morning. What a treat!

The Lodge accommodated my request for late afternoon laundry services – what a relief! Room service provided a delicious snack on my balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. Dinner was expertly prepared served in a lovely outdoor dining room. Highly recommended, particularly for post-Kili trek!

The bed was very... read more comfortable- one of the best I’ve had in a hotel. They have a laundry service and can do a quick turn around for an extra fee if you are in a hurry. They also cleaned my boots for no cost. I would definitely recommend staying at the Planet Lodge for anyone passing through this area.

It is an oasis of calm efficiency, the Manager (Abuu) and his team (particularly Everest, Happy, and Shaffi, and all the restaurant staff), were so welcoming, attentive, helpful and courteous, and all facilities (including the pool and change rooms) were spotlessly clean and tidy. The airport shuttle was most appreciated, and the provision of a work space with internet was also. Thank you all for providing a really lovely home away from home and for such kind and generous service.

TV, wi-fi and cell disabled by government due to election violence. Great service and clean facilities. 15 minutes from Kilimanjaro airport. We hired $25 taxi at airport after 11:00 PM delayed landing. Roads under construction near airport, be prepared for dirt road driving.

We had a lovely lunch on their... read more covered terrace. And played cards in a nice lounge area. They have a walking trail and spa. The staff was Friendly and helpful. The reception area and restaurant was clean and welcoming, as was everyone who worked there. It was much better than staying at the airport. It was about a 15 minute drive. There were six of us and six bags. The taxi cost was US$35 and well worth it.
