BEWARE: it cost $120 to make a round trip to Arusha using the hotel shuttle since other services are not nearby. It’s a decent place if all you need to do is wait there for a travel connection. Otherwise, find a more convenient place.

Beds were very comfortable and clean.

Only feedback would be that for an airport hotel, more flexible checkout times would be nice! $20 per hour extra to stay in your room.

Great walking trails and private balconies where I could rest and read gave me a chance to wind down from my trip before flying out.

The food was great as well, have to try one of their wood fired pizzas.

I would highly recommend Airport Planet Lodge to anyone who needs a quick place to shower before flying out or a place to stay a few days.

As we passed through reception, my jaw dropped and I said, “Oh!” The grounds are immaculately kept, and serenely restful. After a short stroll on the well lit walkway, we entered our room and I said “Oh!”again. Our bed was large and comfortable; the bathroom had a large walk-in shower with very hot water, as well as a tub if you prefer. The air conditioning cooled the room comfortably. The room is thoughtfully stocked with anything you could need, including shower slippers and robes, and bottled water in both the bedroom and the bathroom.

The staff is very friendly and attentive, which is common in Tanzania, but the amenities set the Airport Planet Lodge apart. Definitely worth staying here.

It is an oasis of calm efficiency, the Manager (Abuu) and his team (particularly Everest, Happy, and Shaffi, and all the restaurant staff), were so welcoming, attentive, helpful and courteous, and all facilities (including the pool and change rooms) were spotlessly clean and tidy. The airport shuttle was most appreciated, and the provision of a work space with internet was also. The Lodge provides a complimentary schedule shuttle, and we had no problem finding their driver who came to... read more pick us up for a less than 10 minutes drive to the Hotel in a very comfortable Air conditioned mini-van. The accommodations, meals, staff were all great. The hotel has very beautiful garden with spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. I would highly recommend to stay here especially for those arriving /departing late at night as its very convenient to the airport.
