Planet Lodge has... read more comfy beds, clean basic rooms, good hot showers with strong water pressure, strong internet, TV, pool and sauna, and a decent basic restaurant and bar. This place is not the Ritz Carlton. But I was pleasantly surprised how nice, clean, and comfortable this 3 star lodge was! It was actually much nicer that some of the janky places our supposed luxe safari company put us up in our our trip.

We had previously stayed in downtown Arusha and found that for the bulk of our needs, this is a much better location. If planning the trip over again, we would’ve stayed here and traveled into Arusha if we wanted to see the sites there, rather than staying in Arusha and traveling back this way every time we wanted to go to the close attractions such as Arusha National Park.

Complimentary breakfast was plentiful. Fruits, cheese, variety of hot foot, freshly made waffles and eggs to order.
Dinner was reasonable priced. I had lamb stew and husband had delicious potatoe leek soup. We were pleased with both.
We asked for a late check out and manager kindly extended it until our airport departure.
Price was higher than some hotels but well worth it due to convenience, Beautiful garden like settings, quiet and outstanding customer service.
Very relaxing after a long day and helpful prior to a long flight home.
Staff treated us extremely well, as if they were family members. Front desk, restaurant staff including kitchen staff and grounds keeper all welcomed us with kind smiles.

You’re welcomed with a wet towel, to remove the road dust, juice and a staff eager to attend to all your needs. The rooms are divine. Clean, spacious and with turndown service. We are treated like royalty. There is a beautiful pool area and even a massage studio. The dining area is situated so you can eat in an enclosure or sit on a covered patio and enjoy the gardens. The food is very good and again the staff is waiting to service your special dietary needs. We loved chatting with Pendo, Agape, Abbu and so many more.
