As we passed through reception, my jaw dropped and I said, “Oh!” The grounds are immaculately kept, and serenely restful. After a short stroll on the well lit walkway, we entered our room and I said “Oh!”again. Our bed was large and comfortable; the bathroom had a large walk-in shower with very hot water, as well as a tub if you prefer. The air conditioning cooled the room comfortably. The room is thoughtfully stocked with anything you could need, including shower slippers and robes, and bottled water in both the bedroom and the bathroom.

The staff is very friendly and attentive, which is common in Tanzania, but the amenities set the Airport Planet Lodge apart. Definitely worth staying here.

We had a mixup with our flight. We had to checked out of the lodge, gone to the airport and had to return to the lodge because our flight wasn't until the next day. The staff was super welcoming and understanding and gave us our room back so that we could have a place to relax and go to the pool. We ate another wonderful meal. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on and I had a great night’s rest. The room was spacious and had a small outdoor sitting area facing the garden. It was a great start to my vacation.
