We were able to eat, grab a drink, shower and relax before our flight which really made a big difference. The pool was fantastic too - great way to cool down and relax. Walking trails - well maybe a bit of an overstatement as there really aren't walking trails. But food was good, and people were super nice - we would definitely stay here again. My only "complaint" is that they were watering the grass and plants - in a place that has serious water issues, I'd prefer that they were more eco-friendly.

The grounds were attractive and well-kept.... read more We didn’t use the pool, but it looked well-maintained and inviting. Sadly, we didn’t have time to use the available spa services either. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The wall-mounted AC unit got the room cool within a few minutes. The beds are equipped with a surrounding mosquito net, though we didn’t really have any issues with bugs in our rooms or on the grounds (early June). There is a large outdoor patio dining/bar area which was very welcoming for dining and drinks. Our dinner was well-prepared and tasty, though I would have liked to see some more items that explored the local cuisine. Breakfast was buffet-style, with a nice selection of fruits, pastries, hot items, and an omelette station. The highlight of the stay was the staff who were universally friendly, conscientious, and helpful.

We had a mixup with our flight. We had to checked out of the lodge, gone to the airport and had to return to the lodge because our flight wasn't until the next day. The staff was super welcoming and understanding and gave us our room back so that we could have a place to relax and go to the pool. We ate another wonderful meal. You’re welcomed with a wet towel, to remove the road dust, juice and a staff eager to attend to all your needs. The rooms are divine. Clean, spacious and with turndown service. We are treated like royalty. There is a beautiful pool area and even a massage studio. The dining area is situated so you can eat in an enclosure or sit on a covered patio and enjoy the gardens. The food is very good and again the staff is waiting to service your special dietary needs. We loved chatting with Pendo, Agape, Abbu and so many more. I worked on my Swahili and they taught me new phrases. Asante Sana, tutaonana tena, kwa heri. A true hidden gem.
