I then traveled through beautiful Tanzania and returned to Planet Lodge Airport near JRO for two nights. I had a 5:27am plane departure and was given a breakfast box for the airport when we left at 3am. The restaurant was very good and the chef was very accommodating when I asked for slightly different variations of menu items or extra avocado with most of my meals It’s the closest lodge near JRO airport and well worth the convenience of having an efficient complimentary shuttle to and from. Overall, the lodge was safe, accessible, reasonably priced, and well appointed for the business traveller.

The grounds are large and tranquil and the planting and landscaping is so nice. Particular shoutout to the young staff. Each and every one of them are charming! Smiley, warm and ever so genuinely friendly. Mseeni the waiter in the restaurant was so great. His personality shone through at dinner and breakfast. All we can say is that this place is the perfect way to introduce you or bid you farewell to the hospitality of Tanzania. The management is clearly extremely attentive and eager to maintain its standards. We commend you and will recommend you when we are back home in UK.

  Lovely convenient hotel. Pool, wifi, restaurant, gym. - Very wonderful service! Excellent accommodations.

The Lodge accommodated my request for late afternoon laundry services – what a relief! Room service provided a delicious snack on my balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. Dinner was expertly prepared served in a lovely outdoor dining room. Highly recommended, particularly for post-Kili trek!
