Planet Lodges

  We used the lodge as a place to stay on the way out of the bush, and before heading to the airport. Many others were just getting in from their... read more flights and used as a place to stay overnight before starting their excursions - it's great for both. We were able to eat, grab a drink, shower and relax before our flight which really made a big difference. The pool was fantastic too - great way to cool down and relax. Walking trails - well maybe a bit of an overstatement as there really aren't walking trails. But food was good, and people were super nice - we would definitely stay here again. My only "complaint" is that they were watering the grass and plants - in a place that has serious water issues, I'd prefer that they were more eco-friendly.

Rooms have everything you need and the hot shower was wonderful. Also the aircon was highly appreciated.

  Wonderful accommodations at the Kilimanjaro Airport Plant Lodge Hotel. - The Planet Lodges Kilimanjaro Airport Hotel is a wonderful accommodation. The staff is friendly, the property is well taken care of and the rooms are spotless.

I enjoyed several spa treatments in the afternoon prior to my evening flight. BEST ever with such a gentle spirit but very skilled massage therapist!! She knew how to heal what needed healing!

Lovely garden as well. I enjoyed sitting in the balcony with my morning tea listening to the birds.

  A very basic hotel for the price of a fancy one - In terms of décor, amenities, services, and food this is a very basic hotel. Meals are served on plastic plates. When I signed in at the front desk, a cockroach... read more almost ran over the piece of paper I was writing on. There was a lot of industrial noise from a facility nearby all night. Tacky Christmas lights were mounted around the restaurant and, to add insult to injury, they played a beeping song all evening.

Positive aspects: Staff was very friendly, the mattress on my bed was good, they had Nutella for breakfast (but no decent coffee).
